“Birth of a Notion”
A time traveler prompts Hugo Gernsback to start a science fiction magazine.
This is a story Asimov wrote for the special 50th anniversary issue of Amazing, the first science fiction periodical, and as such I originally read it in situ. It’s a cute little story perfectly fitted for its original setting, but not of much interest otherwise.
