A magician loses his chance for true love by falling asleep on a bus.
I like this story for a number of reasons; the romance angle is nice, and the guest, the Amazing Larri, is a pleasant fellow. I would really be glad if I could rate it higher than I do—but the solution to the puzzle here is so forced and so obscure that I really felt cheated when I read it. That’s a real pity; one really wishes Asimov had used the situation and the character with another puzzle.
