Marmie Tallinn is having an argument with his editor over an sf story he’s writing, an argument which he settles by means of an eccentric inventor and his eccentric monkey.
This stupid story is inspired by a real-life argument between Asimov and Horace Gold over "C-Chute.” It’s really dumb, one of Asimov’s worst efforts from the 1950’s—so bad that Asimov himself never even dreamed of anthologizing it until fans (like me, alas) proved there was a market for it. Avoid this story. Read “C-Chute” instead.
