An old, old mystery is solved, regarding an American spy who is killed before he can manage to warn the US government that the Bay of Pigs would be a failure, but in dying leaves behind a mysterious message that only Henry can unravel.

This is the third story in Casebook of the Black Widowers, and is even weaker than the first two. The solution is really stretched here and very slight.
