A message that would have warned America of the coming Tet Offensive is misread because of an ambiguity in how pages are counted in books—the thirteenth page isn’t always the page numbered 13.

Eh. Certainly this is a problem with which I am particularly familiar, and so I could reasonably be expected to have figured it out. I guess my problem is that the back-story didn’t work very well, for some reason. I'm not sure.
