Darius Just—yes, that Darius Just—runs into a beautiful woman in a bar whom he extracts from a sticky situation without really understanding just what is going on.
Well, I will freely confess that I don’t like this story for two reasons. One is that it features Darius Just, the hero of Murder at the ABA, which I do not like. The other is that—like Murder at the ABA—there’s a certain emphasis on fisticuffs and I don’t like fisticuffs. The baseball angle doesn’t help, either. So no matter how good this story might actually be, I really, really, really don’t like it.
