Griswold correctly divines that “dollars and cents” are the symbols one types if one holds down the shift key on an IBM typewriter and types “476,” and all is well.
IBM typewriters are rather passe, and the idea of the warped conscience our villain is posited to have is a bit much for me to swallow.
